9e2 is an exhibition / event series that is re-envisioning 9 Evenings‚ an iconic exhibition held 50 years ago in New York that sparked a new era of collaboration between artists and science‚ engineering‚ and technology. 9e2 will be happening in Seattle from October 21-29‚ 2016.
The original 9 Evenings was organized in 1966 by Robert Rauschenberg and featured prominent artists (Yvonne Rainier‚ Rauschenberg‚ John Cage‚ and many others) creating installations and performances in collaboration with engineers from Bell Labs. 50 years later‚ 9e2 embraces that same spirit of experimentation and a new series of collaborations. Nightly performances‚ lectures‚ and installations will feature a number of prominent artists working at the intersection of the arts‚ sciences‚ and technology.
